
The Divisions of the Chamber are as follows, each stating their responsibilities. If you are interested in getting involved with any of the events or meetings, please contact the Division Chairperson listed.
Chamber Development is responsible for the fund-raising activities for the Chamber of Commerce. Some of these activities include theGolf Outing, Fair Parking, two Antique Shows, a Taste of the Hops, and Christmas Ornaments. No regular meetings are scheduled, chairman sets them up.
This division of the Chamber directs the community related projects which includes the Santa’s Parade, St. Nick at Noon, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Adopt a Highway and the Beautification Awards. No regular meetings are scheduled, chairman sets them up.
This division of the Chamber works to promote the Greater Crown Point area as a desirable environment for business retention, expansion, and attraction. This division is also responsible for attending to the needs and concerns of business interests in industrially-zoned areas. Monthly meeting is planned for every first Thursday for the month at Schoops on North Main Street at 7:30 a.m.
This division monitors legislative issues on the local, state, and federal levels which are pertinent to the business community at large. The division is also responsible for the Meet Your Candidates forum held before all elections. New East Side Business Alliance is a sub-committee of Governmental Affairs. This group meets on the first Friday of the month at Jamey Baltzersen’s office on 11426 Broadway, Edward Jones Investments.
This division of the Chamber works to increase Chamber membership, while providing opportunities for increased membership participation with consideration to business owners’ needs. Some of the activities in this division are Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours networking opportunities and educational seminars. Networking Nights meet at different restaurants from 5 to 7 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month.
This division of the Chamber will inform and assist businesses and property owners in addressing and participating in City and Chamber business that may affect or concern them. The retail business committee is a sub-committee of the City Center Division. The meeting for this Division meets on the second Thursday of each month at Twelve Islands at 8 a.m.
This division of the Chamber is responsible for the organization, promotion, and management of the Hometown Square Festival, as well as other activities designed to attract tourism activity to the Greater Crown Point area. No regular meetings are scheduled, chairman sets them up.
