From 1852 to the present, the Lake County Fairgrounds have been the setting for the Lake County Fair, held in early August. It attracts thousands of visitors as it did a century ago, when it served as an agricultural trade show.
The Fairgrounds itself is an attractive mixture of hills, lush green areas, a pond, and open exhibit grounds. The Covered Bridge, shown at right above, is almost 120 years old, and it bears interesting architectural characteristics of the period. Other Crown Point events are hosted here as well, including the Cobe Cup Race.
